Project
Generalised dietary guidelines and recommendations have little impact on the eating behaviour of most Europeans. A promising approach to tackle this problem is personalised dietary advice. QuaLiFY helped strengthen innovation in this sector, through new tools for dieticians and their patients and, thus, empowering individuals with respect to their health decisions.
QuaLiFY took a holistic approach. First, existing personalised dietary advice products and services were identified (WP1). In a next step, they were linked to a shared IT platform (Quisper®), providing access to validated scientific data (WP2). A group of dieticians and patients evaluated the products and services (WP3) and collaborative business models were established for the various services and products (WP4). The final work packages, Dissemination (WP5) & Coordination (WP6), ran throughout the duration of the project and were responsible communicating the outcomes and administration, respectively.
QuaLiFY was an EU-funded Framework 7 Collaborative Project under Exploitation of results of Framework Programme projects in food, health and well-being by small and medium-sized enterprises (Grant no. 613783).
